Rachel Chang is an entertainment editor, writer, producer, and booker with 15 years of experience in the industry. She is currently a senior editor at Us Weekly magazine.
Prior to this, she was the editor-in-chief of teen magazine J-14, entertainment editor at CosmoGirl Magazine, and associate editor at Popstar! Magazine. Her celebrity interviews include Zac Efron's first-ever interview in 2004, as well as One Direction, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Rob Pattinson, Kim Kardashian, Daniel Radcliffe, Blake Lively, Amanda Seyfried, Vanessa Hudgens, Anna Kendrick, Paris Hilton, and Lindsay Lohan.
Rachel has also written for Alternative Press, Glamour, Audrey, USOpen.org, and Clear Channel Online Music & Radio, as well as interned at In Style, YM, and the Daily Record.
She has been quoted in USA Today, CNN.com, New York Post, New York Daily News, and Advertising Age, and also appeared on Music Choice's Certified, Goom Radio's Zang Radio, PopEater's Girls on Pop, and served as a mentor on The Hub's reality show Majors and Minors.
She began her career in entertainment as a UCLA undergraduate, interning at Nickelodeon in talent relations and production, Dawson's Creek in the writers' office, and Buena Vista Pictures' in marketing. She then worked in the publicity department at The WB Television Network for three years before going back to school to earn her masters in Magazine, Newspaper, and Online Journalism at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
Rachel is on the judging panel of the Mirror Awards, the executive board of the Newhouse 44 as a social media/public relations co-chair, the editorial advisory board of Mochi Magazine, and was recently inducted into the Newhouse School's Professional Gallery Wall of Fame.
